Since i updated my A53 to the UI 5.1 my battery is going crazy. First, its draining fast even when screen is off. And dont get me started on the Device Care app, it is acting nuts when it comes to calibrate tbe battery and clean the storage.
Being a samsung user for 7 years, i think i might opt out in the next 4-5 years. Its getting very frustrating.

P.S If samsung is wiling to work well for the Android 14 and if the improvements is getting better, i will probably change my point of view for Samsung and stick with it.

After any Android version update, I always Boot into Recovery & Factory Reset.

Here's the reasons why I do, and it has always proven to be extremely effective for me.

Essentially because, While there's a script in every OTA that essentially wipes Cache. In Android version updates, the script SHOULD erase / wipe data that may be a conflict to the new OS.

It's not always 100% effective, and there's been plenty of posts over the years, where some people experienced issues, some almost unnoticeable, others more so.

Performing a Factory Reset, while shouldn't be required, has for me at least, resulted in never having any problems.

It's a habit from testing Custom Roms & I think that it's served me well.

I agree with you and tried both of the solutions but sometimes there is still the same bugs that are coming back even after a clean partition or worst a factory reset. Im not reseting my phone every after an update installed. So thats what im sayin here, samsung needs to work on many issues apart from those on S-series that they think its more important than other series.

Thank you for providing such a detailed information RedDogRabbit.

Hi, as suggested by RedDogRabbit please perform wipe cache partition and check for the issue.

Below are the steps to perform Wipe cache partition.

1.Turn off the unit.

2.Press and hold the volume up button and press and hold the on/off button. When the Android logo is displayed, release all keys ("Installing system update" is displayed before displaying the Android system recovery menu options).

3.Press the volume down key repeatedly to highlight "wipe cache partition".

4.Press the Power key to select. Press the Volume Down button to highlight "Yes" and press the Power button to select. When the wiping of the cache partition is completed, "Reboot System Now" is highlighted.

5.Press the Power button to reboot the unit.

If wipe cache didn't work for you then, please perform back up and factory reset by following the steps in the given links.
