Hi guys, I am planning to buy Galaxy Gear S3 Frontier but I noticed that there are US version and International version. International version is more expensive than the US one but I don't know what the difference is than that. Any ideas? Thanks
US version is the same (pretty much) as the Canadian version with the Snapdragon processor and Locked Bootloader - The International version has Exynos and Unlocked Bootloader 🐧
They are going to have features/configurations that vary per the region of origin. You would want to register the watch on that corresponding Samsung site as well. For instance, US version have Samsung pay enabled but Canadian version dont have it (but you can manually do it)
Even if you get the US Version which has Samsung Pay...will it work in Canada since the Canadian Gear S3 does not come with Samsung Pay... (maybe one day it will get updated so we can use Sam pay from our watch :( )
I read some Canadian people claiming to have it work, at least for TD card, as both countries have this bank. BTW USA best buy just listed gear s3 frontier refurb for 185- CAD 250. Its tempting for me. May be by the end of day I'll convince myself to get one
Just a fyi.... if you buy a international device your not covered under warranty... The warranty is only good for the country the device was originally intended for sale in...
