What *#0228# "Quick Start" does exactly?

Please do not tell me that it is a special command used in service center that you should not use and it is a battery calibration that you should do every 4 months.

A total nonsence.

I know that it does not work as told in most FAQs. Had poor battery reading, did it, got even worse.

An no manual tells what does it do EXACTLY.

Now, I know what is fuel gaudge, and what is coulomb counting.

What happens exactly when you- push *#0228# "Quick Start" ? So I need this in order to understand what happens to my battery and how to restore its gauge correctly.

Does it reset the top 100% charge? Or safe 0% charge? Or does it rewrite the gauge calculated from from batterystatistics.bin?  (I am not sure what type of gauge chip there in S10e)

There are people who believe in battery calibration, and those who think that it's a waste of time.

Personally I have never bothered to "calibrate" the battery on any of my devices.

The theory is that, over time, there is a mismatch between the actual remaining battery time / percentage of charge, and the numbers (time & percent) displayed on your device.

Allowing your device to discharge down to 5% and then using the code, followed by fully charging the device is supposed to "calibrate" the battery & the displayed Time remaining & Percentage remaining.. whether it works or not, no idea?

You could essentially achieve the same results as suggested by using this code, with a Factory Reset.
