I am a student who's lifestyle encourage to drink a lot of alcohol. It would be extremely useful to be able to track consumption over time (impact on health issues and calories consumption)

If you drink a lot of alcohol, will you be in a state to be able to enter the info? 🤣

Jokes aside it's not a bad idea.

amazing idea @Cicero I'm also in a profession where drinking is encouraged and I also like the taste lol. it would be nice to have a quick setting like they do with water and coffee in samsung health. I'm sure the reason they don't though is because every alcohol drink/brand is different calories and such.
what I do is just create the drink in the my food section, and then it's always easy to find and input

@cicero, I hope you wont drink a lot of alcohol. My brother passed away this past May in the ICU at the Foothills Hospital as he had been drinking a lot of alcohol, about 2 750 ml bottles of pure vodka a day for about a year. Once he started he could not stop and the alcohol claimed his life.

I would like the option to input any alcohol consumption into samsung health. And the excuse that there are too many brands is a cop out. I literally just inputted the exact brand of a gas station burrito into my health app, and have inputted many exact meals from specific restaurants.

Just because something is encouraged doesn't mean it's good. Alcohol in any amount can be seriously damaging to your health, so it's best not to take any chances. Especially when you're a student and have your whole life ahead of you.

Pretty enlightening comment, but it's true. Personally, I haven't drank alcohol for a year now, and so far it feels like the best thing I've done for my body. But it hasn't been due to any alcohol related problems. And if you notice that you or your loved ones have a persistent need for alcohol, it's worth dealing with addiction. If you turn to professionals who provide individualized care as well as a variety of modern treatment and recovery programs in time, you can avoid severe consequences altogether.
