Restore Samsung Health data after factory reset

I did a factory reset. I had backed up using Samsung Cloud.  Everything came back except SAMSUNG health data.  Very frustrating.  Any ideas to get this back?

I did use the download data function in the app but it just saved an excel file on my phone.

I also went to my account from a computer.  I requested the data but that was 24 hours ago and nothing came.

S9+ running Android 10.

Make sure you are signed into Samsung Health - Go to Settings in Samsung Health & Click on Sync - It should automatically Restore your data - Smart Switch does NOT backup Samsung Health data - But you should be able to get your data back through Samsung Health itself.

Unfortunately I did that and everything didn't come back. I'm wondering if for some reason I wasn't syncing Samsung Health all along. So sad.

Wondering if there is a manual way to jam the data file into it.

You could try going to Samsung Health Settings & See if you can Download your Personal Data? But normally if you are Logged into Samsung Health it should be Syncing automatically.. But I don't know if you can use your Downloaded data to restore it to Samsung Health...?

You COULD try this - Sync Samsung Health - Uninstall Samsung Health - Reboot - Download Samsung Health & Log in to it - Wait a few seconds - It SHOULD Sync / Restore your Data - Just not sure if it will Restore ALL your Data 🤞

I got my hopes up when you helped me realize I could try a reinstall. No dice though.

the download just seemed to download an excel file to my phone? is there an import function within samsung health?

yes I did. it just brought in from the time I did the update.

Hey.. now I have the same problem.. Sync was on, and the last one was on March 23rd 2021 (02:00am) ... I did hard reset on my phone same day in the afternoon.. I lost all my Samsung Health data since October 2020 up to today (data feom 2019-October 2020 is up).. I tried to follow steps that were provided and still no luck..
