Samsung Health causing my Phone to heat up

This is a problem that needs to be fixed. Is anyone else having this problem?

We are sorry to see that the Samsung Health app is consuming significant battery resources in the background based on the screenshot.

Excessive Background Syncing: Samsung Health might be syncing health data, such as step counts, heart rate, or connected devices (like a smartwatch or fitness tracker).

Features like auto-detection for workouts, continuous heart rate monitoring, or location tracking may be enabled, leading to excessive battery drain. 

Please try the below troubleshooting steps and check for the issue:

Restrict Background Activity: Go to Settings > Apps > Samsung Health > Battery > Background usage limits. Enable Put app to sleep or Allow only while in use.

Check Sync Settings: Open Samsung Health > Settings > Data Permissions/Sync Settings. Disable any unnecessary syncing or data sharing with other apps.

Update or Reinstall the App: Check the Galaxy Store or Play Store for updates to Samsung Health. If updated, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app to clear potential bugs.

Clear Cache/Data: Go to Settings > Apps > Samsung Health > Storage and clear cache. If the issue persists, clear data (you may need to re-log in and reconfigure the app).

No issues with heat & Samsung Health on my S23 Ultra. 

Check to see if Samsung Health is set to "Unrestricted" or "Optimized" for it's battery usage. 

It should be set to "Optimized". Unrestricted setting, could explain why it might be heating up your device.

Also, I uninstalled the Samsung Health app and installed it again, but it still seems to be causing my phone to heat up.

What device do you have, and when you say "heat up", what is the temperature of the Battery in your device?

I have the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. Is there a way to check the temperature of the battery in the phone?

I use Battery Widget Reborn Pro from the Play Store, but you can use the free version as well.

According to the app, it's 37°C.
