I cannot get the Samsung Health app to run stably in my S23 Ultra. When I notice it's gone from my notifications, I will try to open it and it disappears right away. I have to tap the app 5 or 10 times before it will open. After a little while I'll notice it's gone from notifications (Step count and target and the usual "Samsung Health is running to measure your health data") and I'll try to open it only to go through tapping it 10 times to get it to open.

Sometimes I'll get a message from the os that Samsung Health is crashing frequently, would I like to put it in Deep Sleep?

Sometimes I'll get a message the Android WebView is causing the crashes, would I like to revert to the factory version? Which I do, and it seems to make it more stable for a while. And even though I've turned off automatic updates for WebView, it still manages to update itself occasionally.

Uninstalling and reinstalling Samsung Health does not fix it. Clearing the cache is of no help either.

I can only think that there's some health data I've recorded that is corrupted and causes the problem after I sync. Short of deleting all my health data and starting over, does anyone know if a way to fix this?

As an aside, my wife's identical phone, identical OneUI version, and identical Samsung Health version, does not have this problem, even with an up to date Android WebView.

I think factory reset is your last option. Most likely software conflicts or corrupt files. Clean install should fix the problem since I am using S23U and no issue on Samsung Health app.

Yes, that would be my last option. Putting everything back the way I like it and logging in to all my accounts again, and customizing the UI takes days, even after restoring from backup. If no other solution comes along that doesn't involve starting from scratch, I'd just as soon kick Samsung Health to the curb.

I'm facing same things, It drives me crazy,

No solution, Clearing Cache, Uninstalling then installing again, Updating, I believe it have to do something with the Webview app.

How about you do a factory reset as they suggest, and tell me if it fixes it? You first! If it doesn't, you've saved me a lot of trouble.

Hi, as suggested by the Tallman please follow the below link to back up the device and perform Factory reset on the device.

Here is the link.

Also you can try to first force stop "android system webview" and see if it fixes the issue. If it does search for webview in play store to see if there is an update or not

Everything enabled. I've tried disabling web view and while it fixes Samsung Health, many other apps that use webview will not open any more like Gmail and outlook.
