Hello,

I want to use my galaxy watch active 2 for tracking of HIIT training. I couldnt find such activity on watch so i tried other workout and also circiut training.. but problem for me is that they dont calculate calories based on heart rate, but only as fixed calories for minute which is really useless for me. Which excersise can i use so it would calculate with heart rate? I think this should be basic feature the watch should do as it is something even a cheap band can do...

Hi Michaela28, so unfortunately Samsung only does track calories based on minutes rather than heart rate. Sorry for the inconvenience; I would recommend using other apps such as Strava or MFP who use a different form of calculating calories.

As for your HIIT training, you have to use the Samsung Health App on your phone and download the circuit onto your watch so then it can measure the reps and heart rate and send it directly to your phone. I hope this helps.

I noticed with the last update on my Gear 3 they changed something on either Samsung health or wht way they figured out calories as the workout calories changed, they went way down. on my elliptical I get say 40 mins and the elliptical says apx 600 cal burned, my watch says 420 ish and before the last update it was 480 ish on the watch

I had the same frustration michaela, so I usually just enter the minutes manually as Aerobics. The calorie count is more realistic for HIIT.
