Can't add Scotia visa to samsung wallet

I just got new Scotiabank visa card and try to add it on samsung wallet.

however it kept failed.

it kept say cardholder refuse it....**bleep**..???

anyone have same issue?

should I contact scotiabank???

Are you able to add the visa to google pay? My Scotia card doesn't work there either.

I think they have fixed the issue now. I was finally able to add my Scotiabank Credit Card. Y'all can try and update on this.

Was just on call with scotiabank rep, and asked them to accept my debit card for samsung pay, the rep asks me to call samsung pay and said that samsung pay has changed some policies and won't let scotiabank cards be added...I told them that you call samsung pay, looks like I have to move my services to a new bank, it shouldn't be a customers responsibility to check with samsung pay when I have the bank with scotiabank...

I switched to a galaxy s23 ultra yesterday from iPhone and am having the exact same issue. All my cards are working, accept my scotiabank. I called scotiabank and got the same run around. Funny thing is, my wife got the exact same phone as me yesterday, at the same time, and my scotiabank card works on hers with no issue. I'm at a loss here 😕

I don't know why... but it works today.
I just added my scotia visa to samsung pay.
I guess keep try until it works... ???

Spoke to Scotia today they told me it's a 3rd party app issue and just have to wait but in the meantime to try deleting the card and clearing cache of the Scotia app and wallet app you're trying to add it to.

Happy to report once I did this it worked with both Samsung pay and Google wallet and I can now use it on my new galaxy watch 5!!

It is not fixed. How do I know? Cuz I called Scotiabank today with same issue. I can't add my cards. But I used 4 years samsung pay with same card without problems. Too bad they don't have any solution and also there no timeline.
