Samsung Pay does not ask for fingerprint authentication

I am using samsung flip 5 and noticed that while paying from samsung pay it doesn't ask for fingerprint for authentication sometimes. Also if I choose to pay by PIN then PIN doesn't work at all. It is very annoying issue please fix as as possible.

If that was my device, I'd start by Clearing BOTH Cache & Data for Samsung Wallet (I'm sure you meant to say). 

Go to Settings > Apps TOGGLE ON "Show System Apps" and Search for "Biometrics", and Clear Both Cache & Data Biometrics.

Reboot and:

Enable Biometrics, Register your Finger Prints etc again. 

Enter the Credit / Debit cards again. 

See if that fixes the issue for you? 

It's not likely that there's a fix from Samsung for this, as it sounds like an issue unique to your device.
