Smartthings
With the name of "Smart Things" I would expect it to be smart. However with a zwave device that I need to make sure will have a signal sent, and the reason I use a SmartThings hub that sends signals even with no internet connection, I am locked into the 1980's technology with NO option to automatically turn off my zwave device after a certain amount of time. The only option is time of day. Not at all smart in 2025. Model 7000 B002. Not even smart enough to give the manufacturer's name. Why can't SmartThings smarten up with some basic functionality.

SmartthingsHi Gizmoking,
We understand your concern. Currently, SmartThings routines don’t provide a built-in “turn off after specific minutes” option for all Z-Wave devices. Your feedback is valuable, and we’ll be sure to share it with the SmartThings team for future consideration.

Someone replied that there is a Timer that can be set, tap on the icon. However this must be set every time the device is activated.
