The SmartTag 2 has a new firmware update, I got a notification about it, however, upon clicking the settings in the SmartThings app to update, it does not load.

I have force stopped the app, cleared cache, uninstalled and reinstalled the app, however nothing works

My smart tag is dead after the update. Tried replacing the battery, reseting it and nothing.

Hi Nabeel000,

It sounds like you're experiencing an issue with updating the firmware for your SmartTag 2 in the SmartThings app. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow to resolve this issue:

Check Your Internet Connection. Ensure your Wi-Fi or mobile data connection is stable and has a strong signal. If possible, try switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data to see if the issue persists.

Restart Your Phone. Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve temporary app or system glitches.

Update the SmartThings App. Open the Google Play Store (or Galaxy Store) and check if there is an update available for the SmartThings app. If an update is available, install it and try again.

Reconnect the SmartTag 2. If the issue persists, try removing and re-adding the SmartTag 2: Open the SmartThings app. Navigate to the Devices tab and select your SmartTag 2. Tap the More options and select Remove device. Re-add the SmartTag 2 by following the pairing instructions and then attempt the firmware update again.

Ensure Your Phone and Tag Are Close. The update process requires your phone and SmartTag 2 to be within Bluetooth range. Make sure the SmartTag 2 has sufficient battery life to complete the update.

If you have access to another phone or tablet with the SmartThings app installed, log in with the same Samsung account and attempt the update from that device.

Thank you.

I hope it fixes the horrible battery life. I am ready to throw mine in the garbage
