Smarttag 2 wrong location?

I left my car in the parking lot with the key and the tag in the car. While I was away, the app showed the car in different locations from the parking lot. For four days, and three days with no movement. When I asked the staff, they said nobody touched the car. Is it possible? The app showed up to a 20 km radius for the movement.

A friend of mine had their smart tag say their keys were in the middle of a river... They were hanging on her wall...

I wouldn't, it might just be a temporary glitch.. 

Test it out a few times to see if it works for you.

Well, when I really needed the tracking, it was confusing. I don't need the accuracy when it's home.

I think what is happening is it's actually telling you the location of the device that's pinging it. My wife was in another city and that exact situation was occurring.
