What device & Messaging app are you using? 

What kind of issues are you having specifically with sending texts?

Samsung A71, normal text app, message is Grey and has an exclamation mark.

I should have specified, Google or Samsung's Message app?

The exclamation mark just means that the message wasn't sent. 

Are you trying to send SMS/MMS or RCS messages?
