Solutions & TipsHi itsjustmetoday,
Here are some steps you can follow to resolve screen mirroring issues with your projector:
01. Check Smart View Connection:
Smart View or Tap View allows you to mirror your mobile device to the projector.
Home Menu → Connected Devices → Connection Guide → Smartphone → Screen Sharing (Smart View)
- Launch Smart View on your mobile device
- Select your projector from the list
- Confirm connection on the projector
02. Disconnect and Reconnect:
Sometimes the connection needs to be refreshed.
- Disconnect Smart View from your mobile device
- Press the Back button on the projector remote
- Reconnect using Smart View
03. Adjust Smart View Settings:
Changing aspect ratio or settings can improve compatibility.
- Open Smart View menu on your mobile device
- Adjust aspect ratio or other settings as needed
04. Use AirPlay for Apple Devices:
iPhone or iPad users can connect via AirPlay.
Menu → Connected Devices → Connection Guide → Smartphone → Apple AirPlay
- Enable AirPlay on your Apple device
- Select the projector from the AirPlay list
05. Check Router Settings:
DFS channels on routers can interfere with screen sharing.
- Log in to your router settings
- Disable DFS channel usage
- Refer to your router manual for instructions
06. Enable Tap View in SmartThings
Tap View must be enabled in SmartThings for first-time connections.
- Launch SmartThings app on your mobile device
- Go to Settings
- Turn on Tap View
- Register the projector if required
- Select Allow when prompted on the projector
