I have a (new) Galaxy S6 Lite tablet, and the Google ' Assistant ' icon does not respond to touch. Voice commands work perfectly. How can I get the icon to respond to my touch ?
I don't have a Samsung tablet, but I imagine that most solutions are similar to Samsung phones.
You can try Uninstalling updates to Google app > reboot & update the Google app. Try opening it again & if you can, go to Google's settings & verify that they are properly setup.
Hi Tlew, I suggest you please remove and readd your Google account and reinstall the google assistant application to check if the issue got resolved. Please try this and get back to us with the results.
I tried ... but it didn't work. As a matter of fact, when I re-installed the Assistant app ... it was installed bvery quickly. And when I clicked on the green ' OPEN ' tab ... It didn't/wouldn't open. And when I went to the actual re-installed icon and tapped on it .... Nada !! Such a shame as it works on my phone perfectly.
