TabletsHi Cody_G_Smith,
We’re sorry to hear that your Galaxy Tab A9+ has been experiencing unintentional touches and erratic behavior since the One UI 7 update. Issues like the YouTube search bar opening on its own or notification tones being selected without input may point to a ghost touch or software input issue.
Please try the following steps:
Boot into Safe Mode to check for third-party interference.
-
Press and hold the Power button, then tap and hold Power off until you see Safe mode.
-
Once in Safe Mode, test YouTube and the Settings menu.
If the issue doesn't occur, a third-party app may be the cause.
Run Touch Diagnostics via the Samsung Members app > Support > Diagnostics > Touch screen
Clear Cache Partition (no data loss)
-
Power off the tablet
-
Press and hold Power + Volume Up until the Samsung logo appears
-
Use volume buttons to highlight Wipe cache partition and confirm with Power
-
Reboot
Check for App & System Updates: Ensure all apps (especially YouTube) are updated from the Galaxy Store or Play Store
Go to Settings > Software update > Download and install to ensure you’re on the latest patch
We appreciate your patience and will work to get this resolved as soon as possible.
