I just bought the samsung a11+ it has a phone app. As well as a texting app. Are they supposed to work with this model? I also seen videos of people using an s pen mine never came with one .Will one work with this model? Model is sm-x230

It's not designed for phone calls or texting, but you could use VOIP for calls. 

You could also use Call & Text on "another device". 

It does not support the Spen, but you could use a regular stylus.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A11+ (SM‑X230) is a tablet. The built‑in Phone and Text apps are not meant for direct calling or SMS on this model. You can use them only through features like Call & Text on Another Device or VOIP apps . As for the S Pen, the A11+ does not support Samsung’s S Pen technology—you can only use a generic capacitive stylus, not the advanced pressure‑sensitive S Pen.
