WearablesThe Galaxy Watch 5 has a ip rating of ip68.
IP = Ingress Protection.
6 = Dust Tight.
8 = Survives being submerged in water.
This means that a device with an ip68 rating, is SUPPOSED to be able to survive being submerged to a depth of 6 meters for up to 30 minutes.
However, the Galaxy Watch 5, also has an additional rating of 5ATM, which means that it is Certified water resistant to a depth of 50 meters, which suggests that you can safely swim with the Galaxy Watch 5.

WearablesYou would know better than me. I've only been diving in the Caribbean a few times.
Plus, I don't have a Smart Watch, I prefer my TAG.
My info for the Galaxy Watch 5 is from XDA.

WearablesThe watch 5 pro is water RESISTANT. You can get it wet for max 30 mins continuously and at a max depth of 1m or 1.5m, I don't remember exactly.
But that's only for clean fresh water.
If you go into the sea with salt water, it is best to not have your watch on as the salt can damage it.
Also for pools, it may be OK but make sure you rinse it right away afterwards.

WearablesHi, yes as said by Deeezzyyy, The watch 5 pro is water resistance.
The Galaxy Watch 5's IP68 dust and water resistance rating means 50 meters under the ISO standard 22810:2010.
It is not suitable for diving or high-pressure water activities. If the device or your hands are wet, they must be dried thoroughly prior to handling that it is completely dust-tight and can also survive underwater at a depth of 1.5 meters (5 feet) for up to 30 minutes without water leaking in.
