Rogers has finally launched an add on plan for Android wearables. Like the one for Apple watches but now for us.  Go inside store and request your android wearable plan from them. Most of store customer services agents don't know about this new plan, just insist with them.  It's CAD 10 and shareable with its own number.

Finally!!!!

Could you describe how to set this up? Rogers is insisting the watch needs its own number.

All, i had a tweak to setting this up and have it working with Rogers. I was with Telus earlier and had one phone number working for both my phone and watch and it was all good and i could leave my phone behind and still make and receive calls while i am outdoor without the phone on me with just the watch. This was Telus world.

I moved to Rogers and it took a while to get this working somewhat half way. Rogers could not have this working with just one phone number and so my watch has a different number than my phone. However i have used the phone settings under supplementary services to forward my calls to the watch when the calls are not answered or if the phone is out of service area. So this effectively mimics the situation that when i am outdoor and the phone is not on me and if someone dials my phone the forward feature to the watch will route the calls to me watch and i get to receive the calls and so incoming calls is not an issue. However on outgoing calls in the same outdoor scenario when the phone is not on me the receiver will see my number as a private number and i have to some how figure a way that he sees it as me and trying to some how think of a solution to address this issue.

Overall i am able to get my watch to atleast receive calls if my phone is turned off or if i leave it behind while outdoors and if someone dials my phone line it forwards the calls to my watch. The **bleep** seems to work for now until the time Rogers fixes this issue on their side where it works like how it was with Telus, One number for both phone and the watch

Do they offer standalone plans so the Samsung Galaxy smart watch can have its own number, not paired with my main number? Want to buy it for my kid only if Rogers offers standalone plans.
