Rogers has finally launched Android Plans

Rogers has finally launched an add on plan for Android wearables. Like the one for Apple watches but now for us.  Go inside store and request your android wearable plan from them. Most of store customer services agents don't know about this new plan, just insist with them.  It's CAD 10 and shareable with its own number.

Thanks a lot! Is it added to any plan or we have to buy a specific (more expensive) plan to become eligible getting the sharable plan for galaxy watch?! Can you share your own experience in more details?

I don't know all detail from Rogers about which plans are included into this wearable add on. You may ask them. I have an Infinity plan.

Have you confirmed that you can make voice calls with your Watch 5 without your phone turned on and near by?

Let me add that Virgin plus has just added lte plan for galaxy watch (used to have only for apple watch). The odd comment from a guy in kiosk who was wearing galaxy watch was that while the phone doesn't have to be near by but it has to be ON for you to be able to make/receive phone calls on watch! Rogers says their lte watch works even with phone off! No way for me to verify either of these comments.

Yes sir. My watch 5 is LTE version. It works stand alone, I don't need my phone with me. It has its own number, the only thing that is shareable is the data plan.

It does work regardless my phone is on, connected or whatever.

Thanks. To be super clear:

1- if someone dials your phone number, you receive it on your watch even if its number is different, right?

If someone dials your phone number and the phone is off, you do not receive it on watch, correct?
