So I have set up a pin lockscreen for my Watch 5 pro to be able to use the payments apps.

But I've noticed that if my watch is locked, everytime I flick my wrist to turn on screen, it goes directly into the pin pad to unlock it instead of just showing the watch face even if I haven't touched the buttons or screen or anything.

It wasn't like that on my watch 4 classic. It used to always be the watch face when I flicked my wrist and only the pin pad after I interact with the watch to unlock it.

Has any of you watch 5 pro users encounter this glitch too?

If not, I'll just try to re-set up my watch again.

Doubt my screen protector is making it register as a "touch" action to go right into the pin pad...

See video below

Thanks

If you wear the watch loose, the watch thinks that it is away or not touching the skin. Then lockscreen will activate. So, when you flick your watch, your watch should not move on your wrist. If your watch moving while you flick, that is quite loose. Try adjust the band and tighten a little bit.

Lol no no. That isn't what I meant. I purposely keep my watch locked sometimes.

But when I want to flick my wrist to see the time, it automatically shows the pin pad instead of the watch face. I have to manually press the back button to go to the watch face. It fixes itself for a few seconds and then goes back to pin pad again.

I added a video so it's easier to see the glitch.

It never used to do that on my watch 4 classic. It was always the watch face and ONLY pin pad if I touched the screen or a button

Hey Bro, I do not have such problem. Let me try play around the lock.

@Deeezzyyy - I tried many combinations, all works for me. Maybe try changing watch face? Reboot watch? Or reset Samsung Pay? Since this is requirement for Samsung Pay on watch.

I reset and format the watch completely and set it up as a new watch.

No apps installed, nothing and I went to the lockscreen right away. Still does the same thing.

I guess it's either a glitch or they're just forcing you to unlock watch to do anything.

Just asked my sister to try it too. It does the same thing.

Right after a few seconds, the pin pad comes on and stays on. Have to manually press back to go to the watch face.

Which is an inconvenience cause if I want to keep my watch locked and just look at the time, I can't cause it'll just always show the **bleep** pin pad 😑

Weird, I can't reproduce your problem.

So even if you have a lock screen and flick your wrist to turn on the screen, it always stays on the watch face and never the pin pad?

Do you have a screen protector on?
