WearablesSo my Galaxy watch turned on me recently. I’ve had my watch Rose’ for just about three years now. I’m very active and have never had any issues with with Rose’ or either of the four other Samsung watches I’ve had. All of a sudden I installed an update and started experiencing irritation while wearing the watch throughout my normal daily routine. So, I discontinued wearing the watch and reached out to support. Within a day I noticed a burn mark that has caused my skin to itch, dry out, and peel in the circular area from the actual watch face. I have no known skin allergies that have developed. I’ve been wearing the watch in the same fashion for years no all of a sudden an update is performed and I’m without use of something I paid for? It’s disappointing. I was simply told to stop wearing the watch until further review of a pending ticket.

WearablesHi Pikkinikki, Samsung has tested the noxious materials found on the Watch through internal and external certificate authorities, including tests for all materials that contact with skin, skin toxicity test, and the Watch-wearing test.
• The Watch includes nickel. Take the necessary precautions if your skin is hypersensitive or you have an allergy to any materials found on the Watch. – Nickel: The Watch contains a small amount of nickel, which is below its reference point limited by Europe REACH regulation. You will not be exposed to the nickel inside the Watch and the Watch has passed the international certificated test.
However, if you are sensitive to nickel, be careful when using the Watch.
However, I suggest you to contact Text We Care (932 273) or Live chat support by using the below link with the pictures. www.samsung.com/ca/livechat.

WearablesFirstable, avoid wearing it for a few days, or wear it on your other hand. I turned off auto capture your heart rate & stress measurement. Turn off auto workout detection too. You can probably turn this on again later, but for now just turn it off.
Wipe the back of the watch everytime you take off and put on your watch. I even do a quick clean on my wrist too.
I've had no more issues now. I've turned on the workout detection sensor again, but I kept the heart rate to manual mode.
Hope everything will workout for you.

WearablesI too have been burned by the Galaxy Watch4. The worst was today while walking. I noticed that the watch was not tracking my steps, heartrate or calories. I kept receiving vibrations, probably to inform me of a malfunction. When the burning started, I loosened it, wiped my arm & the watch back & finally took it off. Once home, while looking at this burn, I can see scarring on my wrist from burns tha must have occured several times before, probably while monitoring sleep. The watch was a gift, purchased January 5 through Samsung website, delivered Jan.19, which I started using on Jan 23, 2022. I've reported it to a Samsung help chat & received a ticket. Also reviewed repair option under warrantly page Waiting to hear what Samsung will do or advise.
