Sat. Nov6, 2020 Hi. I have a Samsung A5 running Android 8.0 . My phone made a random outgoing call this morning to an unknown number (not on my contacts list) before I woke up. The person receiving it said it rang once only and she didn't answer it according to the sms message she sent. I replied and apologized. I noticed that the call wasn't listed on my outgoing calls list. This hasn't happened before. Has anyone had this happen to them? Is there an app I can use to monitor ALL outgoing calls. Any suggestions as to what I can to do prevent this happening again? Thanks for any help you can provide.
I've heard display numbers can be faked. Maybe some scammers put your numbers on call display. If your phone has no history, logically the call should not dial from your phone. Therefore, the call maybe from scammers and put your numbers on display.
Please contact your carrier service provider and check with them and share the details about your Phone making random outgoing calls, Hopefully, they will assist you accordingly.
I would check the permissions of all apps that have access to telephone permissions. Go to settings then apps and in there top right select permission manager.
