After the new update 3g/2g  option is no longer available.
I was using 3g to save power and in low signal areas.
Is there a workaround? and can something be done so the option is once again available?

2G service was discontinued by most Canadian Carriers in 2018, and 3G,is set to be discontinued sometime this year.

So that's likely why, neither are available on your device anymore.

Maybe the priority should be the customer and not the carrier in this case.
Maybe here where I live 3G will be available in the future.
If I ask for exclusive 3G service and the carrier for some reason does not support it then carrier can deny service/request.
I would be content with that option.
This one does make no sense.
I am really not satisfied and will be seeking solution elsewhere.
But,thanks for time and effort.

Look in Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks. If you see HSPA as in my screen shot, then you still have 3G

Am I missing something, I thought you said that 3G & 2G were not available on your device after an update?

But now you seem to be saying that they are?

3g/2g-missing/no longer available option!
3g -missing/no longer available option!
2g-missing/no longer available option!

I dont know how to make it more clear,
Do you understand what the problem is now?

Your previous post said that;

"The only available options are,

5g/4g/3g/2g - auto connect
4g/3g/2g - auto connect (here the default is 4g)"

That's not what you said in your first post, or your most recent post, so forgive me if it wasn't clear...

Most countries have shut down 2G in 2021.

3G, or HSPA is still available on my device with Rogers.

If your objective is to save battery, it will be minimal, or even more battery drain as your device tries to find 3G.

It would be very cool when Samsung would just decide to return the option.
