I recently posted a forum message about Samsung pay in which I received an Google  play store update for the application Samsung pay. I did not install the update because it did not state its version. When I went back to my updates it disappeared from the Google play store update.

Without updating it disappeared.

My question is if Google play store is not producing valid app updates how can this be corrected. I know that an app displaying an incorrect version, in my case no version  is invalid. But how is an invalid app getting past Google store and  play protect.

Hope you have your "selfie" camera taped over.
Maybe Samsung Pay updated while you weren't looking..

This is the version of Samsung Pay installed on my device & it's safe & legitimate.

Thanks a lot, Shaggyskunk1.Hi SamSangtwo, I think what Shaggyskunk1 mentioned is true. It may get updated and you didn't notice it. But I can assure you that the updates which we release on play store from Samsung were safe and legitimate as mentioned by Shaggyskunk1.

Absolutely not. When an app is updated below "Updates available" it lists "recently updated" The Samsung pay, app was not on that list meaning it was not updated it just disappeared from the list.

Hi SamSungtwo, I suggest you to contact Samsung live chat support as they can remotely access the device to check the root cause of the issue and help you further.

I do not intend to provide remote access to Samsung. previously when I originally got my phone I asked to confirm the firmware version they Samsung refused. I also understand that remote access is performed via "find my device" which I have previously reported self activates. it now only activates when i restart my phone even though I deactivate the service.

There is nothing samsung should be able v to bbn perform remotely that I cannot perform.

Hi SamSungtwo, With the information we have on this issue, it seems like the issue is with the Play store application displaying wrong updates. Please report the issue to Google and let us know with their response.

I have reported the issue to Samsung. Do you have a recommended Google suite to report android issues?
