Why does the Samsung preinstalled phone which has telephone permissions I cannot remove, have data usage through my mobile data? What information is being sent?

Hi, You can control which apps have permission to access and modify information on your device by changing App permission. If there is an app for which you don't want to access a particular service, you can disable it. For example, an app might want permission to see your device contacts or location. You can control which permissions an app can access after the app installs on your device.

The Samsung camera app the permission cannot be changed. This is the default camera provided with my phone and disabling it only temporarily stops it as it will renable itself.

It's probably GPS information on places you've taken photos

I have GPS turned off from the day I got the phone. GPS does not communicate through the telephone.

I am not sure, it is using very little. If you look you'd probably see other system apps using data as I imagine there are certain processes that require internet.

The question is why is the camera using any mobile data? Why can I not deny the telephone permission?

I wish that was a feature but it's unfortunately not. It's using such little data though

It should not be using any data. If you look at the screen shot you will see background activity is off, so it is sending data while in use. What data? to who?

I'm not sure you know how small a KB is but it's no where near enough to be able to hold data for a photo if you think the camera app is spying on you
