UPDATE May 2023. Better late than never.

  • Credit where it is due and Samsung is due some credit .... One of the updates to my phone fixed this issue and now my friends and colleagues no longer comment that I sound like a robot on Bluetooth in my Honda

Thank you Sammy

Got a new a53 and it works well but it has an issue with Bluetooth connection in my Honda accord 2013.

It is not a problem with my Honda has my previous LG phone worked absolutely perfectly with it.

My a53 connects to my car just fine and plays music perfectly and connects calls perfectly also but my own voice is garbled by distortion when I try to speak to anyone over the phone.

This is almost certainly a software issue with the a53 as there would be much more reports if it was a problem with Android.

And yes you can find other people on the internet who have this exact same issue with the a53.

JJust just fix it please.

Is it fixed for incoming and outgoing calls? For me it only fixed outgoing, if someone calls me it's still a garbled mess

My sister-in-law had this same issue with her Samsung Galaxy A53 bluetooth with her Rav4 (2018).  Her voice sounded like a far away robot when she tried to talk to anyone through the car's bluetooth. I read a comment online that updating her phone's Android system software would help the problem.  After doing an Android System Update just today (7/19/23) and installing the update, I paired the bluetooth with the Rav4 again and every call is now clear. No more sounding like a robot!

@lbailen2 - What version was the update that resolved this issue for you?  I just updated my phone (7/26/23) to version S536DLUDU6BWF1.  I will test this version and see if it fixes the "robot" bluetooth issue in my Camry.

Edit:073123 -  I tested version S536DLUDU6BWF1 and callers can now hear me clearly.  Hopefully this updated will help other users as well.

If you're having Bluetooth issues with your Samsung Galaxy A53 in your car:

  1. Restart both your phone and your car's infotainment system.
  2. Unpair and Re-pair the Bluetooth connection, removing old connections if necessary.
  3. Check for Updates on both your phone and your car's system.
  4. Clear Bluetooth Cache on your Galaxy A53 by going to Settings > Apps > Bluetooth > Storage > Clear Cache.
  5. Reset Network Settings on your phone in the Settings menu.
  6. If issues persist, Contact Support for both Samsung and your car manufacturer.

Before buying a car, it's crucial to check its details through a vehicle verification service to ensure there are no hidden problems or legal issues.

Glad it started working for you, my A53 still sounds robotic in my 2017 Rav4.
