Google Maps, Stay on while driving??

How do I get screen to stay on while using Google Maps for driving Directions?

I do not want to change how it normally powers off, just stay on while using Maps?

Try Settings > Apps > Maps > Battery & Select "Unrestricted".

You may see that Maps is using an increased amount of the battery with this setting. 

See if that works for you.

Sorry, This does not work.

Screen still dims then blacks out.

OK maybe that worked, it seems I have to enter destination and start.

Well yeah, Maps isn't going to stay "awake" if you don't have a destination input 😉😊

Maps only stays awake when you you actually need it.

It doesn't know that you just want the screen on while driving absolutely nowhere.
That's inefficient to its robot brain
