It is not possible to disable IPv6 in Android for WiFi connections without rooting your phone.
You can, however, disable it for mobile data connections.

Go Settings -> Connections -> Mobile networks -> Access Point Names. Select your mobile operator the scroll down to APN protocol and select it.

Select IPv4.

And you’re done.

Hi SamSungtwo,
It is not possible to deactivate the IPV6 option. However, you can select one option from the available list as mentioned by oooOmitoOooo.
Go Settings -> Connections -> Mobile networks -> Access Point Names -> Tap the APN that you are currently using -> Tap on APN Protocol -> Tap on IPv4 -> Tap Save in order to save the changes.
Please note that the rooting of the device will void the Samsung warranty. Samsung does not recommend to root the device because it will make the misbehavior of the device.

1) if the unit was purchased over a year ago, then there is no warranty to void.

2) rooting does not cause misbehavior unless you make a mistake. Rooting is for advanced users (also susceptible to mistakes).... :)

I'm sorry, I know this is old, but under what circumstances would you like to disable IPv6? You should really be searching about IPv4 exaustion and the issues it's causing, probably for you too. IPv6 is not less secure, that is a myth, IPv6 does not make it that much easier to identify an user on the internet at all, and ISPs usually have better routing on IPv6. If anything, you should be looking into enabling it whenever you can, because CGNAT v4 is not internet connectivity, it's web connectivity, and limited at that.

If you have any issues with IPv6, for example you get an address but it just doesn't work, disable it on your router, and if you can't, CONTACT YOUR ISP. Don't go around disabling IPv6 on devices which will soon need to work over IPv6 anyway.
