No software update

My Samsung a12 does still does not have the new one ui 4 Software update available yet. Does it matter that I am in Canada, and am with lucky mobile. My sister has the exact same phone as me and the same mobile carrier too. I am clueless

What is the model number of your device?

BUT your device was shipped with Android 10 and is only upgradable to Android 11, One UI 3.1

You can probably Root your A12, I think that it's a device sold in India?

If it is Rooted, you can probably find a Custom Rom that would allow you to update it beyond Android 11. 

I'm not saying that you should, just that you can. 

There's no further official Updates beyond One UI V3.1.

The problem is you don't have a Canadian model of the phone you have an Indian model so when ur using a Canadian carrier it won't register you updates because it incompatible region-wise. You have to flash ur phone to change it to a Canadian firmware. To receive Ota updates like normal. Then you can get one ui 4.1

How do I flash my phone?

Download the CORRECT Firmware to your computer > Extract it > Open Odin > Insert the AP tar in the AP Slot > BL tar in the BL Slot > CP tar in the CP Slot & CSC in the CSC Slot.

Put your device into Download Mode > Connect the phone to the computer > Wait for the devices to recognize each other & Click "Start" > Wait for the Green "Pass".

That's strange, in GSM arena website, it tells that the phone is only upgradable to Android 11, but the update schedule of the model tells that the Indian model got Android 12 update on July 15
