My Samsung Calculator app (or other calculator apps) seem to give me incorrect answers. Whenever I type 1÷9, I'd get 0.11111... But when I take that answer and multiply it back by 9, instead of getting 1, I get 0.999999...

My friend who owns an older model of Samsung Galaxy A gets 1 when he types the same calculations.

Is it my phone that has the issue or the app?

But the iPhone has the same issue? I can't see two devices having the same issue ..a minor issue but still

It's because the calculator has a limited number of digits after the decimal. Typing 1 ÷ 9 into any calculator will give you 0.111111... to an infinite number of 1's after the decimal. When you multiply your first answer by 9, it is only doing the calculation for the number of digits after the decimal that are shown on the screen.
If you try the calculation on your computer's calculator, it works because it is remembering the infinite digits. But if you clear your computer calculator after the first equation, then manually type in 0.1111111(to the number of digits you saw on the screen after the first equation) and multiply by 9, you will get 0.99999999...
