Test messaging - chat settings

My phonen did an update late last week.  I have a Galaxy a70.  I can't get into the chat settings in my text messaging app any longer and some of my settings are now changed.  Amy ideas as to why I cam no longer get in?  I'd like to change my settings back.  Inspect quite some time with my service provider - Koodo Canada - and they couldn't help as it's a Samsung issue.  Thanks.

Try do a Wipe Cache Partition in Recovery mode. Usually this will fix a lot of weird problem after updates.

To enter recovery mode:
- Power off your phone
- Press and hold vol up and power key until you are in recovery mode
- use vol up and down to navigate
- select Wipe Cache Partotion
- press power key to confirm
- click yes
- click reboot system

Try again and see if you can get into Chat settings.

To be honest, I don't know how to help you with this. I just rarely even use the phone to contact someone. Most often I use https://videochatomegle.com/ in order to communicate with someone and get acquainted. This is a great way to find new acquaintances. After work in the evenings, I always relax in this chat.
