Hi, I've had my Galaxy J-3 Prime for almost a year and it's worked perfectly fine until now! It's now restarting itself for no reason, and I do not like this at all. If someone could please help me fix this that would be amazing! Samsung also should look into giving the Galaxy J-3 Prime its last update / Android 9 pie.

have you updated your phone recently? something could have went wrong with the update. you could try a factory reset or manual re update your phone

last timer this happened to me it was a manufacturing defect in my S7 that forced me to keep it off for 10 months of the year i had it under warranty before i was told by samsung FINALLY to send it in. so if its under warranty... go to a registered samsung repair shop or send it directly, most shops will give you a loaner. now for the kinda good side. my s2 used to do this and my s4 did it and my gfs note as well... the lock button can stick. so if ita stuck in an on/off loop theres fixes. i still reccomend contacting samsung. but dirt and dust can jam up the button and a SMALL amount of 99 % alcohol and a few good tappity taps on the button and it can release. AGAIN I STRESS DO NOT DO ANYTHING UNTIL YOU DETERMINE SAMSUNG WONT. all the best.

Hey @brotzela09zz123,

Unfortunately issues like this are difficult to diagnose over the Internet—I highly recommend you visit a Samsung Service Center (http://www.samsung.com/ca/support/servicelocation/) so a technician can physically inspect your device.

In the meantime, however, you can see if @Habsfan's suggestion works. It could very well be something to do with a recent update.

Cheers,
Sabrina
