app pairs using goodlock multistar

How do you add  app pair using mutiwindow to the homescreen on pie? 
I am using Goodlock multistar which showed that you can app pairs to the homescreen.  When I use mutiwindow I dont have the option to add an app pair to the homescreen. 
Can anyone provide some insight to why?

When you have both apps that you want to app pair open in multiscreen, press the line that separates them and then select the icon I circled in my screenshot, it will create the app pair on your homescreen.

***Sorry, I just noticed that you said you don't have the option to add it to your homescreen.

its weird I tried uninstalling multistar and reinstalling it again but it still does not work properly.
maybe its different for a note 9 compared to a s9 or 10?

Try it with different apps and see if the option appears?
