I tried long pressing but forget network wasn't an option. The only way I could was to try and connect to a random network, enter any password to which I would be denied access, of course. Then go back to the wifi network screen where a little blue question mark would appear by the network I was trying to remove. Press that and I finally get the option to forget network, but it doesn't! I tried with 3 different networks that I don't have access to, the same ridiculous method to have it ignore my request to forget said network.
Is it not possible?

Then what is "forget network" for? From what I've seen, you're right though.
It's really not important, I just like things just so sometimes.
Thanks for letting me know.

Forget network is so that it doesn't automatically connect to it.

I thought that was what all the fuss was about..

Forget network is for deleting network data of networks you have connected to, in the past

No, I just want them off my list. They serve no purpose and I like tidy.

Well that's not going to happen.

WiFi is always going to show available WiFi Networks. Besides, how much time do you actually spend looking at available WiFi Networks..

Reality is this has been a pointless exercise.
