I got the charger and was wondering if I can charge my phone or my Tab S6 Lite with it. I know it won't charge with 45W but with 15W fast charging. I just wanted to know if it will burn my devices as it's a higher wattage charger and uses more power.
***No stupid comments that my phone/tablet doesn't support 45W charging. I know that obviously. I read that this charger can be used to charge most type-c devices at their supported charging capacity, like my Note8 supports 15W charging. Is this true?
The charger and the device will do a handshake and determine what charging mode to use. See your charger, it has multiple volts ratings. It's safe for these chargers. It's not a constant rule though, always consult the ratings of your chargers when not used with the intended device.
