Hi, I seem to have a display color issue after the recent android 10 and one UI 2.0 update. Since I was watching a movie on the device just before the update that I was able to immediately notice a display color issue. Theres a oily coat on blacks especially. All the other colors seems to be fine especially greens are brilliant.

I'm trying to find a software based solution either by setting or patches. But service centre just say display replacement as solution.
If I did not notice the difference immediately I myself would have gone for screen replacement thinking it as pixel burn issue or something but since it's not such an issue I am a bit worried as to whether I would receive a solution for this.

this is my display setting menu, have a look at other colors and the Aurora one, hope you can see the issue with the blacks and darker shades.

that oily texture on the video is what is making it horrible to view any video apart from this every thing else seems to me fine only the effect is in the blacks

the video is from youtube, its named as what does fury want . . .. just view this in your device and compare it. the blacks will have different tone in yours.

thank you, but this seems to be third party fix. will samsung even try to work on a solution for this issue in the upcoming patches or will it just slide it away since only I have noticed it as of now. the problem is explaining the issue to a service centre agent they wont understand initially then i had to take video from them and show the difference between the two devices and then they conclude by saying change the display unit.

If you read the XDA link - You'll see that it hasn't affected everyone & after numerous updates - the issue has been fixed for some people & not for others - So at this point - if a 3rd party fix works then that's probably your best bet short of replacing the screen / device - It's been an issue since your device was first released...So I doubt that Samsung is working on anything to fix it.
