Galaxy NoteHello - I have a question that perhaps the community knows the answer to.
I am in the process of setting up my new Note 20 Ultra 5G w/ Android 11, which is definitely a fantastic upgrade from my Note 5 (yes - 5!) which has been my capable companion for 6-7 years.
My work requires me to do a lot of research, and I need to capture articles/web pages/etc. For example I will find a relevant newspaper article online while browsing using the Samsung Internet app. I capture the article by clicking on the "more options" icon at the bottom-right of the Samsung Internet window, then clicking "Print/PDF", then selecting the destination folder.
On my Note5 I could only store the PDF files on the internal memory (there was no SD-Card). But these files are typically large, and I capture many of them during a work day - so the memory filled up fast - I ran out of Internal memory frequently. I intentionally purchased the Note 20 Ultra because it has an SD-Card slot and my expectation was that I could choose to save (Print/PDF) my research to the SD-Card. But there appears to be no option for selecting between Internal memory and the SD-Card.
I chatted with Samsung Support, and the kind person told me "Oh it's no problem - you just move the file manually to the SD-Card after you have saved it to internal memory". It may appear to be "no problem", but we're talking about potentially 25-40 files per day, each of which are stored in a folder based on subject matter. At least to me, the inefficiency and wasting of time is mind boggling.
Does any one know of a way to display the option of storing to either the Internal memory or the SD-Card, when using Samsung Internet and the Print/PDF function?
Much appreciated,
Mark

Galaxy NoteNot sure if there's a direct way to save downloaded files to the external sd card, but you can make a new folder on the external sd card for your work related documents.
All of your downloads will appear initially on the internal storage
"/storage/emulated/0/Download"
You can navigate to the above folder & Select the files you want to move to the new folder you created on the external sd card & move them in bulk.
I know that it's not exactly what you're looking for, but it's what comes to mind at the moment.
I usually use Root Explorer Pro as my file explorer, but there's others that are quite good, Solid Explorer & Mixplorer are two others that I have, but I've been using Root Explorer the longest.
