Edge lighting stopped working

Edge lighting used to work, but has since stopped working completely.

I've seen others reporting the same on reddit, but I've found no answers.

Any ideas?

that is odd, I use it on my S8 everyday and it works.
Have you gone into your edge lighting settings, try disabling it and re-enabling it?
Also a soft reboot?

Yes, I've tried that, but it just doesn't work. I don't know what's changed on my end, but I noticed it stopped working after reading about others having the same problem.

Do you have apps selected to use Edge lighting?

I've selected all of them and it doesn't matter. Previous to that, I had only the apps I wanted. ☹️

Mine never worked since day 1 that I got the Note 8. It's broken in the Note 8. Users have reported it not working at all. Some only work when screen is on. Others have certain apps.

Mine is sporadic. Some times it works, some times it doesn't. And when it does work, it's only with the screen on.

Damn. Yeah, it worked that the beginning then stopped. I guess we'll have to wait for a fix.

I've got it working when the screen is on, but not off! I disabled then re-enabled the settings above and it seemed to fix something. Now I have to see why it's not working with the screen off.
