Hey guys, I'm switching my plan from Freedom Mobile to either Fido, Virgin Mobile or Koodo for the $50 9 GB plan. Any tips to which carrier I should switch? I want the VOLTE and Wi-Fi Calling features to work. My phone is unlocked and I had bought it directly from Samsung Canada. And which carriers work best? Coverage, best network, reliability, service?

Thanks.

Edit: I'm in Edmonton area.

They all have support for VoLTE and WiFi Calling. Bell/Telus have the fastest network. All have the same coverage, since they have mutual free roaming. But do check their network coverage maps and see which has the broadest local coverage in your area. Bell/Telus have the same network, so only compare one of them to Rogers.

If it is unlocked phone and you want WiFi Calling, definitely Do Not use Rogers. Only you buy from Rogers can use WiFi Calling. Not sure about the other carriers.

It's a pretty fast process. It should only be a quick call away. Had to do it when Sammy sent me a refurb Note9 to replace the OG which had a fault.

Thanks for the reply. I'm considering Fido or Koodo but don't know if the 5 hrs free data on Fido works great. I'm in Edmonton and I think the Koodo/Telus network has very good coverage but not sure?

Roger's buddy :). almost all carriers have unlimited data now for a fair price. I would call up Roger's and tell them you want the 60$ plan for 10 gig unlimited with everything else unlimited. just tell them telus offered you it for 70$ so your trying to get cheaper.
