So I have a very weird issue that I need help with. On my note 20 ultra the phone app has completely disapeared. It's not on the homescreen where it was and it's not in the app drawer. Even searching for it by name using the app drawer it comes up with nothing. The only way for me to even access it is using Bixby and tell it open phone. I have looked everywhere for a solution to this and everyone's solution is open the app drawer and find the phone app click and hold then grab to home screen but there is no phone in the app drawer. If I go to settings apps then I can see it in the apps and can open it from there.

Short answer = Factory Reset to Restore the Phone / Dialer.

Yes, it's weird! Normally something like that can happen when something gets corrupted, or someone using adb or an app freezer to disable System Apps.

Weird. The only thing that happened was I went hunting and put the phone in ultra power save the mode where it only allows 4 apps. When I disabled the power save mode the phone was gone

Did you try a simple Reboot?

Try going to Settings > Apps > Phone & Bottom Right, Click on Force Stop (ignore the warning) & Reboot.

Check again in the App Drawer if the Dialer doesn't magically reappear.

I did read your post. Was there something specific you wanted me to see?

Android almost never gets an actual virus. What you are describing is something that got disabled.

Either Factory Reset or try downloading Google Phone from the Play Store.

Hi, I request you to please follow the below steps once and check again.

Here is the path:

Power the device off.

Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Power key.

Navigate with the Volume keys to the wipe cache partition option and press the Power key to select.

Performing a wipe cache partition removes any temporary files that may be causing an issue with the device.
