How can i change the status bar to black text?

Only when I use the browser..as attached. How can I make them black so I can see?! TIA

This is controlled by individual apps. Properly written apps will automatically invert status bar icon and text color

Well for some reason Google Home app, the one you are on, acts like this. If you click on a news tho, it'll open in Samsung Browser and there it works perfectly. 😇

My guess is that Google Home still uses the old KitKat fade effect in the status bar for contrast instead (back on KK and L there was no inverted color mode so they did this. Samsung did the same thing on Jellybean 4.2.x and 4.3 on the home and lock screen). In fact you can see the fade on the screenshot you posted

@iFlYSoLo - I'm using Swift Installer & Status Bar is displayed correctly for me - It could be an issue with stock Samsung theme & also depending on the version of Google installed on your device 🐧

@Shaggyskunk1BLM, how did you get you Google themed black? Swift Installer won't let me install the overlay on Google. Could it be that the overlay is not updated yet for Google?

@Cprice - looks like you're running a beta version of Google app - Uninstall it & Update from the Play Store - I'm using Google app v8.22.11.21
Swift generally does not support any Betas (very few exceptions - Chrome Beta - Nova Launcher Beta come to mind) 🐧
