With all the fake clone phones flooding the market it woukd be nice if this forum had a sticky at the top to allow people to verify the IMEI number and other tips to spot fakes and clones. Also warnings to purchasers of potential Spyware integrated into the operating system.

In status information, you will see at the bottom phone status, if it's original and not a replica it will say official

Hi SgtStubby, every genuine Samsung phone has a unique International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) number. You can find this number by dialing *#06# on your phone.

Once you have the IMEI number, you can verify its authenticity by visiting the official Samsung website.
