Samsung screwed the split screen and recent apps functions. To get a split screen you tap recents, scroll to the top app and click the top icon. A menu will appear. Choose split screen. The top app will be minimized whilst you select the bottom app. When working, beware that if you operate two windows, the back button may open your link in the other window.

Hey @Gamarli,
To use split screen, you can follow these steps:
1. Press the Recent Apps button (the leftmost button on the bottom navigation bar)
2. Scroll to the app you'd like to appear on top, and select its icon on top
3. Select "Open in split screen view"
4. Scroll to the app you'd like to appear on the bottom, and tap its box.
This should open the two apps up in split screen. Hope this helps!
Cheers,
Sabrina

Hey Sabrina, before the downgrade all you had to do was press and hold. What was the purpose for the downgrade?
