I have been experiencing issues with my new phone in which the camera stops working while using snapchat and a restart is required in order to make the camera work. I have tried a factory reset, clear cache partition, and also I have put my phone on safe mode. Nothing seems to work? Is there anything else I can do?

Hi ShahabR, Could you please share the error message displayed while opening the camera. Please make sure the camera permission is granted for the Snapchat application.

here what the screen looks like when trying to open snapchat or the camera app. I have given permission to snapchat to use the camera app.

The problem occurs when I open the snapchat app and then exit it. For some reason, snapchat doesn't close the camera after quitting the application which leads to the camera to stop working. How can I fix this? Do I need to get my phone checked out my a Samsung certified service location?

Not sure if this help. Try click the left hand bottom (Recent app button). Close snapchat, then open camera again. Or click close all. Check open camera and see if it works.

Hi ShahabR, Thanks for sharing the screenshots.

As you have already performed a factory reset and still experiencing the issue, I suggest you to get the device examined by an authorized technician to determine the root cause of the issue. Please contact our live chat support using the link below to book an appointment with the service center. www.samsung.com/ca/livechat

My Curious mind wants to know...

Try these in order, thanks 🤙👍

-do you open recents and make sure the app is closed? Does this help?

-What happens if after exiting snapchat if you go into settings /apps and force close snapchat?does this help?

-if either one of the top two don't work, Have you tried uninstalling the app and go to APkmirror and try an older version?

Edit:I'm throwing a banana at you @Tallman 🤦🤷🍌

I no longer have that issue. It seems that the problem has solved itself. I really didn't do anything to the phone.
