Hi marki, can you check with your carrier? Caller ID is carrier feature. Thanks.

Even if you didn't have caller i.d. - the incoming calls would be more likely to say "unknown" - When an incoming call says "private" that's more likely to be when the caller has flipped the switch on their phone - It's also possible that it's a Network issue..
Is this a recent occurrence - or since the beginning?

Caller ID is sent to your phone from Carriers. Your phone displays what your carrier is telling to your phone. So any problem with the caller ID means it's your carriers problem.
Now you get it? Contact your carrier.

Hi marki, as I know there is no other setting that causing caller ID shows all incoming calls as private. Therefore, please backup your phone first using smart switch from a computer.

Then you can try the following:
Click Settings > General Management > Reset > Reset Network Settings

Once network settings has been reset and try again to call your phone and see if it still shows private.

Then 'Factory Reset' your phone, though I'm sure it has nothing to do with your phone. But there's nothing else you can do.
