Hi... Why would I keep getting notifications for "high mobile data usage" I'm usually on wifi and I have 10 GB of data and haven't even used 1 GB?

Hi kemptownchic,

Have you set any mobile data limit?

Please check that by following steps

Open your phone's Settings app >> Tap Network & internet >>  Data usage >> Tap Mobile data usage Settings >> Tap Data warning >> Disable if any data warning is enabled.

Just curious, what happens if you turn this off and you go over data 🤷♂️
Why not just set the limits properly 🤦‍♂️

You can also set the invoice date of your carrier.

There has been a data usage bug that has been stated by many users including myself. This is with the Android 10 update and still has not been addressed. The total data usage in settings does not equal the data usage amounts recorded by individual app usage. There is a huge discrepancy between the 2.

Vic20: My invoice date is from 14 to 13 of each month, I just looked on my phone et my account and they match.

Do what @Kinsley said, It will work, but set it up correctly if you do want a notification if you are going over the limit 🤷♂️ I wouldn't just turn it off 🙃

@Montreal1: total data usage in settings is accurate. However, the breakdown of app data usage does not match what is the total recorded. Let's say your total data shows 8GB... tally the individual apps shown and there is a huge discrepancy between the two. There is some hidden system/app that is using data and not being recorded.
