Galaxy Note
I have purchased the note 9 almost exclusively because of the dual camera, but it appeared only marketing. No programs from play market can utilize the second camera, and the built-in "camera" is not supporting the second lens, almost completely.
Technical support doesn't care at all.

Please ❤️like❤️ this post if you are willing to get this feature as much as me. 👋👋👋
Thanks.
Update: Samesung, the button is just not available in pro mode.
What about auto mode, the button is living with its own life - sometimes it is switching the lens, sometimes it doesn't(just using digital zoom with main camera), depending probably on the stars' location on the sky(just kidding, it depends on the light intensity, distance to the object and on how clean lenses are).
Live focus doesn't support digital zoom, and it is almost useless as it is overcompressing photos (the photos are only 1-2 megabytes).
Update 2: Technical support suggested me to purchase a DSLR camera, as the camera in the note 9 is not expensive enough. Absurd... As for me, I need to purchase it first (again, money!), and then to carry it around everywhere (they are usually quite heavy, weight starts from 400 gramms, while note 9 weights only 200 gramms). Quality of the mobile sensor works fine for me, but I need also manual settings, which are dumb in here.
Ps. Though iPhones do not have pro mode, it is possible just to use camera built in to the lightroom(yes, with manual settings), or any other app. Meanwhile, there are no 3rd party apps on Android compatible with the second camera right now.

Hi @dimonoid, the telephoto lens should toggle when in "Auto" mode when zooming x2 or more, or "Live Focus" mode. The toggling should be automatic and depends on the surrounding conditions. Sometimes when zooming, or switching between the different modes, the switch to the telephoto lens may take some time to adjust. However, if you find that the telephoto lens is not being switched to at all, please take your device to your nearest Samsung Service Center so that they can inspect the device physically (http://www.samsung.com/ca/support/servicelocation/).
