I was just checking the web in regards to the update timeframe for oreo on the note 8, I found a bunch of articles indicating updates beginning tomorrow however some posts indicate model numbers of specific carriers and regions. I have the SM N950U1 and that model seems to be missing or excluded.. am I missing something here? I believe this is the actual carrier free unlocked model and I would have assumed this would be the first to receive any updated firmware.
Got the confirmation from a samsung rep that the update has been pushed back to April but no specific date yet, it was advertised on the Fido website for the 28th of March at first but got updated to April :( right now the AT&T note8 is getting the update today...
Version you mentioned is American multi csc version. Thats is why you dont see on list of Canadian version of note8. There is no such thing as unlocked model, your phone will change to your carrier settings when inserting sim.
so how will I know when an update is available as I have to use smart switch to update? I am currently using freedom mobile. so am I to assume I will get the update when they release it
